Iniyan convincingly clinches 15th Chennai GM Open, Venkatesh second and Aronyak third

GM Iniyan Pa defeated his coleader, GM Deepan Chakkravarthy to win 15th Chennai GM Open 2025. Iniyan sscored an unbeaten 8.5/10, performed at 2629, gained 14.7 Elo rating points and finished a half point ahead of the competition. GM Venkatesh M R won against IM Ethan Vaz to secure second place 8/10. IM Aronyak Ghosh drew with IM Sammed Jaykumar Shete to finish third 7.5/10. Deepan, Sammed and IM Kaustuv Kundu also scored 7.5/10. They secured fourth to sixth place according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund of the tournament was ₹2000000. 3rd Goa GM R2-3: Viresh Sharnarthi outplays Ameya Audi

Advaitt Srikant Koduri held Singapore's latest GM Siddharth Jagadeesh to a draw in the second round of Late Shri Manohar Parrikar Goa International GM Tournament 2025.Viresh Sharnarthi showed great positional understanding to beat IM Ameya Audi. Vignesh B drew with IM Aronyak Ghosh. WCM Charvi A drew in a much better position against IM Ethan Vaz. WCM Prishita Gupta shared the point against IM Ritviz Parab. IM Nitin S defeated GM Raset Ziatdinov (USA). In Round 3, IM Utsab Chatterjee held GM Mitrabha Guha to a draw. FM Ram Aravind L N got the better of IM Neelash Saha. Indrajeet Mahindrakar wins a double at 14th Ethugalpura Rating Open 2024

Indrajeet Mahindrakar scored an unbeaten 9.5/10 to win 14th Ethugalpura Rating Open 2024. He finished a half point ahead of the rest. G W D M Dabarera (SRI) scored 9/10 to secure second place. A A H M B Senarathne (SRI) was placed third scoring 8.5/10. The total prize fund of the tournament was over LKR 1200000. The top three prizes in the Classical event were LKR 150000, 75000 and 50000 along with a trophy and medal each. Indrajeet won the Blitz Rating event scoring a perfect 9/9. He finished a full point ahead of the field. C U Hettiarachchi (SRI) and C C Weerasinghe (SRI) secured second and third place scoring 8/9 each. Nidhish Shyamal and Kiyanna Parihaar are 37th National Under-9 Open and Girls 2024 Champions

Nidhish Shyamal (TEL) and Aarit Kapil (DEL) scored 9.5/11 each at 37th National Under-9 Open 2024. Nidhish won the tournament due to better tie-break score, Aarit secured second place. Divith Reddy Adulla (TEL) scored sole 9/11 to finish third. Kiyanna Parihaar (RAJ) became champion in Girls scoring an unbeaten 10/11. She finished a half point ahead of the rest. Top seed and reigning National Under-11 Girls 2024 champion, Divi Bijesh scored 9.5/11 to claim second place. Vanshika Rawat (DEL) scored 9/11 to secure third place. The total prize fund combining Open and Girls section was ₹500000. The top three prizes in both Open and Girls sections were ₹50000, ₹36000 and ₹30000 along with a trophy each respectively.
